Title: Did they ever make a plastic/Nylon stem?

Never seen one but if they did pedals, brakes, levers, seats, rims/mags, seatclamps and chainrings it stands to reason some company would have had a go at it?  :-\

wow!  never knew that...  its steel on the inside like the seat clamps,  so should be tough enough.
