My mate bought this frame in Hong Kong in 1983. It is stickered as a Redline but doesn't appear to be one. Anybody got any ideas?

Not a burner, wrong configuration serial number
-
Trying to get bigger pictures. The serial number is L830301639.
Bought in Hong Kong, got teardrop tubes.

Not a burner, wrong configuration serial number
are you positive about that? I mean is it impossible that there are any taiwanese of japanese made burners ? :-X ....... that fellow bought that thing in HK after all
But i also doubt it. Its just this abominable geometry :'( that made me say it..... Ok, i'll get me coat now :Great_Britain: :-*

Looks like a Stratton Aero, popular in Australia and south east Asia

fookin amazing, Mart...
http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=115447.0 same serial number configuration (however Fox '83 maybe not out of question, yet..)
:daumenhoch:
*************
EDIT:
Just to complicate things....
if the drop has a lip, it in fact might even be a REDLINE after all
some people say bout similar looking thing that its redline, and there are Redline models with similar code set (serial starting L followed by 8-9 digits)

BUT probably MartyC is right. ..... that geometry Redline wouldn't dare, would they? (well the 600a ::), but that's got a gusset)
Bigger pics or tell us what you see on the frame (dropout shape etc

Cheers for the replies guys and sorry about the small pics. Couldn't get any bigger ones to load for some reason.
I'm trying to get him to restore it as a super aero now.
