I got this back at the start of the year and it's just been sat around , I got it off the original owner off the museum . It's the only one listed on there , when i first looked it up i thought there were 2 one from a guest and another from a Museum member it turns out it's the same bike and same owner ::)
Anyway i don't know wether to get it rechromed , powder coated , build as is or just sell it on ( the decals can be redone i must add of the man him self on here as they are all there :4_17_5: ) . The frame set is a really nice design imo i love the forks where you have a choice of drop out slots :smitten: .
These were only made for a hand full of months back in 1987 then the company changed their name as they were into clothing too they also came out with an all new freestyler . I've spoken to a few guys over on the Museum all of which say it's the only one they know of :4_17_5:
Whats your thoughts on the build ,,,,,,,,

Rider survivor for me Darren. Get it built and get it ridden :daumenhoch:
Saw what most would consider a bag of shit the other day, a right hotch potch of parts and colours yet it looked fookin ace and really period. Would go with some wacky coloured bits like the pink, yellow and blue on the frame.
Would take a fair bit of effort to get the balance right but it would scream 80's when you did :4_17_5:
-
Not sure, definitely quirky. :daumenhoch:
-
Powdercoat it I reckon would look much better :daumenhoch:
-
Leave it exactly how it is Daz. Build as a survivor and keep the original look about it.
You remember another 'complete survivor' you changed and regretted ever since ::)

Yes i do regret ,,,,,,,, not doing it a nice bright day glow colour :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: it was a sweet bike :smitten:

it was a sweet bike
It sure was mate. Now, get it built with era correct, good survivor parts and ride it. If you don't like it, sell it on mate :coolsmiley:
Or strip it back down and hang the frame set up for display :daumenhoch:
-
I'd leave it original :daumenhoch:
-
I've always liked the look of those UNI pegs, but I never realized they actually built a frameset around those!
And I'd leave as is too.
-
Stunning mate, defo leave as is :daumenhoch:
steven
If it's for sale I'm very interested
-
Leave it as is. Oxy bath and it will polish up nicely without messing the decals either. :daumenhoch:
-
100% leave as is - build it up 80's Smash Hits style, then if you fancy a change paint it but don't paint it before you've at least had a go at OG :daumenhoch:
-
survivor that darren :coolsmiley:
-
I agree with the survivor route :daumenhoch:
-
