Title: Curtis Expert - warning, whitewalls...
Post by: Jaan on May 28, 2013, 10:28 AM
I bought this frame and forks a couple of years back from Gaz and finally got round to finishing it this weekend.

I even think it works with whitewalls or "happy shoppers" as we call them, plus it was nice to build a BMX for under a grand.

It does have Tange forks (which aren't that far off) but i'd love to swap them out for Curtis and ideally i'd change the CW Pro bars for Curtis bars too so if anyone can help - PLEASE do    I'm kicking myself as I was offered some forks about a year back but the Curtis was parked and out of my mind then  :-[

Anyway, here she is - spot my son in the background on his Motomag rider  :smitten:  He's finally got the BMX bug  :)

If you could request an extra set if he's up for making them that would be great.

I'd love chrome forks and bars for this, then I'd swap out the alloy post for a chrome one.

You're right B, the top tube is a real fatty but I couldn't find any of the larger DC clips and was loosing daylight. I'll put some on and get some more pictures up this week  :daumenhoch:

To the best of my knowledge the company formed in 1972 and are still going today, but their old school BMX were built during 82/3 - 85.
