Title: Sew-ups - advice needed.
Post by: gregster on August 01, 2006, 10:47 AM
Got some sew-up rims on the way for a mini build (cheers Daz) and I need some advice on what size spokes to use on teh wheel build.

Also I know Alans sell the tyres for them but can you still get skinwall versions? And any advice on fitting them? I've heard it's a nightmare.

cheers,
greg

and it took me and 3 mates to get one tyre on lol
i the end i left one on me engine after a long drive to make the tyre
a bit more subtle

They are exactly the same rims that I'm getting. The tyres look great so I think I'll get some of those.

Did you build those wheels yourself? If so any advice on spoke length?

cheers,
g

Just noticed how you've done the rear brake, where did you source that Mr Chubs?

the spokes i just nicked out of a set of wheels i had lying around fink thye was either 182 or 184 mm
the brake was a mx1000 but now running a 890 seems to be ok with the reach
as its got a slot in the brake mount instead of a hole
