Title: Mongoose Californian or Expert ?
Post by: oldschoolstreak on May 31, 2013, 09:37 AM
Hi Guys

Question which I am sure will have been asked before !!

I just picked up what I think is a late 1984 Mongoose Californian, the frame has no stickers on it but appears to be fully chrome, has serrated drop outs and came with an original Mongoose 175 mm Crank Set, Mongoose Head Set so hopefully it is a Cali !!

My question is, I noticed it has `03 `stamped on the underside of the Brake Bridge ?

Anyone know if this means anything ?

Any help would be much appreciated !!

Cheers..

Thanks Mate.

I thought an M1 was made in 1985 ?

This bike appears to be fully Chrome and looking at the serial number is a 1984.

I`d like to know what the 03 was stamped on the brake bridge, maybe it`s nothing !!

Cheers..
