Title: My latest rider
Post by: Betty on June 02, 2013, 09:13 PM
Same sh1t, different frame

After selling my challenger i fancied another race frame/forks

Freeagent limo (may 91)

Pics flatter it, it's tatty as fook up close, there's virtually nowt left of the stickers but they're staying put

True  ;)

Geometry is a bit more up to date on these, 21" tt, steeper HT by a couple of degrees and a shorter rear end  :daumenhoch:

Thanks for all the nice comments  :daumenhoch:

I prefer painted frames over chrome, but you wouldn't wanna swap if you saw it up close, there's a fair sized dent in the top tube and the brake bridge is crushed to feck  :(

It's deffo seen plenty of action  >:D

Stop dissing the freeagent. The Holmes is ding free and is bling bling, I think maybe we should do a deal at Manchester . Don't forget the spanners. :daumenhoch:

There's no shame in it not being a show pony, it's a racer :smitten:

I enjoyed racing the Holmes and love the size, weight, balance, geo etc, the one thing I have against it, is its beautiful condition. I'm a bit more skip rat than I am cat walk. I don't wash as often as maybe I should. I shave every couple of weeks. I very very rarely buy new clothes. The Freeagent is my kinda bike :-)

No matter what frame you change to you will always turn back to an S&M cos they are simply the best to ride  :daumenhoch:

Post by: nosepickben on June 06, 2013, 10:36 AM
^^ yep, thats also how i feel about proper old freeagents. A bit flexy by modern standards but lush to ride nonetheless. Which frame came out first? Does the limo just pre-date the holmes?
