Title: removing powder

i know this has been covered a million times but what gasket removers actually remove powder coat effectively??I know one of them is near impossible to get hold of so anybody know where abouts you can get some or know any other products available,any help appreciated :daumenhoch:

carb cleaner- halfords. heard it comes off pretty uniform

Synstrip works on the majority of powders Mark  :daumenhoch:

It's what SBD uses , available on ebay  ;)

It's what SBD uses , available on ebay  ;)

cant find any on the  bay,anybody got any for sale,only need enough for a set of bars please :coolsmiley:

I have a 5 litre tub of the lethal stuff(starchem) in me shed, i can send some in a container to ya if ya interested? Just pay for the postage :daumenhoch:

What bars you strippin.
I've just got some nos gt bars in bright 'Patterson' orange.
Not sure if its paint or powder but its coming off to make way for chrome.

Loctite 7200 gasket remover has always worked for me.  :daumenhoch:

It's readily available at industrial suppliers and off ebay, for around £8 a tin. Best getting two tins as one will only just do a F&F plus bars.

Used liberally, it strips powder and rattle can nightmares for fun, just make sure you wash any residue off prior to refinishing. :crazy2:
