hi mate dunno if you've heard of a cool app called 'Handbrake'.

its out for windows and Mac.
it 'allows' you to make your own digital copies of doovdes fairly easily.
once you get comfy you can start dicking around with loads of settings.
i use it to re encode my eyetv recordings down from huge .mpeg2 to virtually identical .mp4 or .m4v format (spose windows version will do .wmv etc instead)
well hope that helps...oh and its free...donation ware....brilliant!

Nah it's ok. I work in IT and media so I often talk balls.
It basically lets you take a digital copy of your dvd's.

has anyone started using Handbrake since i last posted? im amazed if not...ive used it for years and at work its a superb tool for re-encoding video down to usable sizes.
