They did make em with v-brake mounts - see here:
http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=3471080#p3471080
Year-wise you're screwed on the serials as S&M were a bit random on 'em. Going by the decals I'd say around 1994ish
The serials on the rear drops. If you ever want rid of the F&F + bars, just let me know :LolLolLolLol:
-
Thanks for the info :daumenhoch:
-
No probs. There is a not often visited section of Rad called 'midschool' where you'd get plenty of answers ;)

would seem a shame to split it, just sell it on for what you paid...let someone else enjoy it as it is :daumenhoch:
-
Its a bit late im afraid, im about to pick up the frame from the shot blasters in the next hour. :-\

Grrrrrrrrr......

:LolLolLolLol: yeah , i like em battered too ... but the rust ..... leave that or what ? ....

Leave it imho :daumenhoch:
Then again, each to their own, and it's the owners frame to do with what makes 'em happy - just glad there's some more people coming over to mid-school now (so long as they don't do show builds and actually ride the buggers) :LolLolLolLol:
-
:daumenhoch: ... yeah, this one wasn't particularly infected --- but hey.... onwards now and upwards. .... :buck2:
then Ride and wreck it when its done :D :2gunsfiring_v1:

No point crying over spilt milk lads. We all love a survivor but the deed has been done so lets get behind what could be an awesome build. :daumenhoch:
What colour are you going to paint it? Im really loving the unusual S&M colours like Forest and olive green, beige, Navy Blue, purple, et, etc these days. Forks cleaned up a treat as well. :daumenhoch:
Looking forward to seeing this come together.

Clocked that on eBay, was about to message him when the auction ended. >:(
You lucky bleeder. :daumenhoch:
Shame you feel the need to knock it back out again for a quick buck. ::)
would have been a nice project that. :(
-
You guys tell him he fooked it up, and then rag on him for selling it on.... Give the guy a break. Hardly surprising it never became a project when he was lunched for repainting it. :daumenhoch:
-
Cheers, it is a nice bike, I bought on impulse & don't have the room so its a part out, im restoring the frame and a few bits . :daumenhoch:
Jon, it was bought as a part out to quote the man himself, i'd have left it alone and let it's new owner decide on fresh paint or not
It was bought cheap..... very cheap, purely to profit off splitting imo :-X

Not me, he's done to it exactly what i'd have done myself (given the chance). I'm all for survivors but that rusty gusset had to go ! :)

how much did I score this for?

One more thing... I actually enjoy restoring these things, well, if that's a crime? Cheers for the comment Jon, I think hes the only one other than myself who knows what I paid for the Holmes, unless my ebay/PP has been hacked?
-
I cant remember where or when I quoted ' bought this to part out', maybe I did, just cant remember?
