Just got me thinking, I sat at work at the moment bored out of my fookin skull, and just got thinking about a Street Beat I had powdered nearly 2 years ago that is sat there doing nothing, I've got z rims for it, hub, stem, headset, crank, break set and tyres just missing some grips and seat really oh and some decals, I've got no excuse just haven't got around to building it :-[
Any else got a case of can't-be-arsed-eitus ??? 2 years for a bike that is essentially all there is way to long to take to build.

Going on 5 years now :'(

 Fook Peter, you need a specific part are just lazy like me :LolLolLolLol:

Im allowing 4 years for my haro build :(
-
I crash them out quick as fook,im too impatient,i try to pace myself but as the parts get gathered I kind of think ' im nearly there now so may as well just see it off'!!!my longest build to date is my T.A,it took from august 09 till april 10,the rest are generally turned around it about 4 months or so :crazy2:

Lee, Is that to get the money to buy the parts or cause your parts list will take that long to find :-\

Got a NOS Floval Flyer in storage, have the build in my head how I wanted to do it and at some point have had all the parts for it but never built it up. Got the frame set in 2000 :buck2:
-
some 3 to 5+ years , includes Mongoose, Kuwi, Skyway & Haro and some others too :).
Thats probably my fault as I have collected parts and not built them up :-\. Ive boxed the parts individually for each bike :).
Keeping them fresh :smitten:
-
It took 2 years to get all the parts for the Kuwahara but for the most part, I normally get one built in around 6 - 8 months. I'm too impatient because I just want to ride them all. No time like the present and collecting parts for years is no good for me. I could be dead tomorrow and will never know what it's like to ride them :D
-
I normally build a bike as soon as i get the frame set out of spares, then from that point it evolves into what i want.
I couldn't imagine taking years to build a bike, that would totally burst the bubble for me :idiot2:
I'm very impatient :-[

hour or so !!!!!!
-
29 yrs !!!
and it's still not finished how I want it
ok it was hanging on a nail in my mums shed for 23 yrs, gonna try and get it done for MK13
-
I started getting parts for my 85 Haro Master back in 2004, still not put it together :(
-
I've only ever built a few bikes :-\
And when I stand back and look at them, I always felt a bit disappointed, I love looking for the parts, getting them though the post, I love the smell (strange I know!!) of them as it reminds me of when I was a kid and we'd ride down to the LBS and look at all the cool parts I could never afford.
The only two bikes I'd like to build is my original Ammaco in its last reincarnation and a Pro Class
I really do have utter admiration for you guys who churn out amazing builds :4_17_5:
But I'd rather have my F&F's and parts set out like they were in the LBS :daumenhoch:

5 odd years........never really finish it and just keep changing things about on it and fannying around really...
-
A fraction over 4 years...
I fell into the trap of trying to replicate a brochure build only to find out that the bars were never used for anything other than the bl00dy photo :'( I had a wanted up stateside for over a year before someone started a thread discussing my hunt, the fact that they had searched before, what they had found out etc. Anyway about 2 weeks later I received a PM from an elite collector offering me the elusive bars :coolsmiley:
-
One of mine took about 4 hours to build, the mrs dragged me out shopping half way through :tickedoff:
-
got a couple of frames that have parts piled up - but not really started them yet
one frame was near to start and be completed - but in deals for a swap on it now ::) :D ;D
-
if every thing was complete in a very short time, then there would be nothing to look forward to or mess around with ;D
