Title: Skyway EZ2 bars
Post by: Funkyworm on July 09, 2013, 02:46 PM
Last year I bought some re-pop EZ1 bars & discovered that if you strip off the black paint that they are actually chrome underneath .

I was wondering if anyone had ever stripped an OG set of Skyway EZ2 Bars & if they were also chrome under the paint ????

These are the ones that arrived (do these look right ?)  never had the EZ 2's before & they look to have a really low rise ?

Those are MKII EZ Bars........but you got Mini's rather than normal sized ones  :daumenhoch:

same width just lower to use them with ACS/Spinmaster II rotors as they found that with the stem up higher the normal bars were just too high  :daumenhoch:

pickle I got some mark II ez bars for my streetbeat which ive got to strip for painting ,how will I know if they are mini or normal size ones and will they both work with the spinmaster mark I,oh by the way snapped up another spinmaster on ebay yesterday just like buses wait long enough and two turn up at once lol

They will both work with a Spinmaster 1 as it doesn't go quite as high as a MKII but i would use normal sized with a spinmaster 1 if i were you

If you look at my Orange or Green one in Me and my bikes i have spinmaster 1's on both with normal sized bars  :daumenhoch:

I can measure mine later for you as i have a few pairs of both  :daumenhoch:  but i'm guessing the normal ones have about 8" rise from clamp to crossbar where as the mini's probably have about 6" but i can measure them tonight for ya  :daumenhoch:

I think you may struggle to find someone who needs them, i've got two sets of them and they are nice little bars.  i hope to use a set on a mini next year  :daumenhoch:
