Well they have finally arrived from Austria of all places, but I am well happy with these and the price £65 posted :) which will be going (eventually) on a DP freestyler. If anyone has any further info on these or comments please add them. cheers.

ace find DR :4_17_5:
i wonder if andy patterson was on skyway or jmc
when these were produced
-
Nice score :daumenhoch:
Them rims don`t look so bad, it looks more like a build up of brake pad on there that should scrape off ok :coolsmiley:

When I recieved mine a few years ago I wrote and asked for any information from Skyway themselves, below is the email they sent. Not sure what truth is in it, as I have heard there were a number made in the UK back in the early eighties. Also heared that Andy Patterson was very p1ssed they used his signature without his authorisation.
Good News
You have original “Andy Patterson” Signed Tuff Wheels. These never made it to production so they are very rare!! There was only around 10 sets made. They are worth a lot of money
Congrats!

Rick

Thanks for th response guys. What is the best way to remove the brake build up, use a craft knife? also what is a good product to restore the black to the wheels. I was thinking some sort of car bumper silicone spray, or are there some old wifes remedies out there ;D
Cheers.
-
no dont use a craft knife
prob cause more damage :'(
as for getting the colour back,
redye is the best option , dylon is what you need, rombloke swears by it
-
rombloke uses a craft knife or very fine wet and dry paper
and wd40 or back to black silicone will bring em up ok
dunno if dying em would lose the andy patterson sign
-
i clean my black tuffs with that turtle wax black bumper polish.
really brings them up nice.
put some gloves on though unless you want black under ya finger nails for a week lol.
