There has been a lot of work (none by myself i add) to get a new skate park built in my local town of Hatfield, Herts. well i went to a full council meeting last night where i stood up and asked a question regarding it's funding? what the plans were and if the funding is succesful when would it be built?
Well as it turn out they have secured £170k so far and are just about to tie up the remaining £20k. So they are going to build a brand spanking new concrete park pretty much within spitting distance of my flat with £190k!
Gunna be amazing! after contacting my local council last year about the possibilty of getting one built, i found that plans had already been submitted but not agreed. The meeting last night was awesome! and i was later told that i was the first member of the public to stand infront of the full council and ask a question in 4 years! they must've thought who the hell is this in combat shorts and checkered vans ;D ;D
So RAD meet at my place next summer then!!! :D :D :D

We've got custom riders coming down next Wednesday with a mobile park doing some displays from 3-8pm :daumenhoch:
Also going to get views on what local riders would like to see in the design spec

careful now ... too many opinions are the downfall of many parks ...

To be honest Ed, I think the guys putting the tender brief know this but just want to engage the locals and inform them of progress :daumenhoch:
The tender process should start in about a month and it should be built for Christmas :D
