HELP i have a red izumi chain and it is to small for the teeth on my sugino chain ring, what size would it be????

Chains and rings come in different widths fella. Think they r 1/8th and 3/16ths . But may b corrected on this .

There are 2 main types of bicycle chains.
Chains with 1/8" wide rollers are used on bikes with a single rear sprocket: those with coaster brakes, hub gears, fixed gears such as track bicycles, or BMX bikes.
Chains with 3/32" wide rollers are used on bikes with derailleurs such as racing, touring, and mountain bikes. Fixed sprockets and freewheels are also available in 3/32" widths so fixed-gear and single-speed bikes can be set up to use narrow and lighter 3/32" chains.
I would say that your chainring is a standard 1/8" ring and the chain you have is 3/32".

A takagi chainring will take a 3/32 chain
