Title: There are some good people in the international BMX collecting community.
Post by: midschooljon on July 24, 2013, 08:49 PM
Given the recent news of international buyers / sellers screwing people over I thought a bit of good news might restore peoples faith in humanity.  :LolLolLolLol:

Basically I was over on OZBMX and posted up some pics of my Challenger F+F. A member on there who I never met before sends me a PM saying he has a NOS S&M challenger bar decal, and if I want it for the build I just need to send him my address and he will mail it to me.

A few days later I get a PM on the Museum from a guy in the US. He said he saw my Cyclecraft build, and remembered he had a Yellow Fredz sticker that would be perfect on my bars. Once again he said if I sent him my details he would mail it over to me.

Today the decals arrived and it just reminded me that there are some really good people out there. These are by no means big items, or expensive, but its reassuring to know that there are guys out there who just want to help other like minded collectors out with their builds.

We obviously all know how generous Rad members can be, but I thought I would share these stories as they were from further afield.  :daumenhoch:

Always nice to hear the positive stuff.  :daumenhoch:

Can you name the members in question so we can add them to our 'good guys to deal with' list?

 :LolLolLolLol: yeah, i leeeik too

No, really good to point that out  8) - as it's really the danger of these rotten ones that they spread worry and fear.  :(
I myself by no means deal a lot with other members even on here (->lurk  ), but even with my limited experience, i'm amazed about the helpfulness around here. Some truly humbling experiences really :-[
-- Good stuff all around :daumenhoch:

Yes I agree most of us in the hobby are good and honest but there is always a very small minority that ruins it for everybody , nice story Jon  :daumenhoch:

Dear Jon

I'm looking for a complete Cyclecraft build exactly like yours ... seeing you are are feeling the love then why not give me yours.

It will be loved.

I will pick it up at MK to save you posting it.

Cheers
Ed

Dear Jon,

Following Ed's letter, I too am looking to find a nice build.....a WAL Riot in fact.

Seeing as there is a lot of love in the community at the moment, I thought it might be a perfect opportunity to make a little space for any of your future builds thus alleviating any stresses that you may find by not having room for more  :)

I too can collect from MK and will be eternally grateful for your kindness :)

Yours lovingly
Big Gav

Yeah fair enough I  suppose but was thinking international sellers who've done Radsters a good turn.  :daumenhoch:
