It's a friggin MKII Burner for christ sake...........in all honesty one of THE worst BMX bikes ever created
and it's reserve still hasn't been met! :2funny: :2funny:

I'm no Burner basher but fook me the MKII is a real POS!
-
Yeah but its got a Suntour power stem though. :D
-
a powdered one though ;)
don't get me wrong, who ever did the build did a great job with the custom colour job and stuff.....but when has a standard (other than paint job) MKII Burner been worth that much? ???
-
And the reserve hasnt been met yet either???
I smell a shiller on the horizon :LolLolLolLol:
-
Ive got a few mark 2 burner f+f sets , lucky to get a tenner for them
-
Rob, he's put the words "VW camper" in the title which instantly makes it worth 10x more :LolLolLolLol:
Fookin' idiots..... :idiot2:
-
85 gold coins for this

I thought exactly the same when I came across that burner last night WTF is going on :idiot2:
-
Well it never sold, hardly surprising......
-
I feel it's worth more which is why I placed a high reserve.
You are being very cruel. I'm upset.
-
Awesome :daumenhoch:
God knows how he was sending it either, £45 postage ???
-
Forgive them father for they not know what they do :idiot2:...
I've got nothing against most burners and I really do like the proper 'Team Raleigh' colours but that thing is ug-er-lee as as sheet :uglystupid2:
..more money than sense ? ::)
-
£ 650 buy it now , so stop your bidding
Against eachother & hit the bin :LolLolLolLol:

Talking to a couple of members about burners recently, it seems folk are going mad for them at the moment. Time to get mine in the bay and get fundamentals towards my first propper bmx, a Diamondback Silver Streak.ll
-
Each to their own Rob. You may feel that they are a POS but, a lot of BMX members think they are great. They are, in all honesty here, what advertised BMX in Britian.
You take your Skyway out down the high street for a stroll and you may get a few people ask things etc etc but, you take a Super Tuff Burner out for a stroll down the high street and see the difference. It's what people remember and Burners are at the forefront of the general population in regards to remembering their BMX childhood :daumenhoch:
I had a Raleigh Pro Burner and it was friggin awesome to ride. Wish I still had one ::)
-
The funny thing is my first bmx was a Burner in about 81/82.
Although I've been collecting bikes and bits now for 7 years or there abouts not once did I want to replicate my old faithful.
Until last month when I got one cheapish of Ebay.
I've put it in the loft for now as I unsure of owning one again.
It's like seeing your girlfriends Mum sunbathing topless, you want to look and stare but know it's wrong :-[

There is nothing wrong with that.
-
Who's mum are we talking about.
Because if it was my mate bernie's mum from back in the day, I'd be spraying the back of the fence in 30 seconds watching her topless :2gunsfiring_v1:
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat

I had a burner BITD and I don't hate them, in fact I really like a lot of them. The MKI was really early on and ones like the original tuff burner are awesome (to look at) but horrible to ride, the geometry is rediculous..........the MKII should've been where Raleigh looked at what other companies were doing and put all the things that were wrong with the MKI right.......instead they made it even worse! For that they deserved to be shot! I just don't like anything about the MKII normal burner, its just not nice at all.
-
Snob......just because you think Streetbeats are the bollocks doesn't give you the right to slag this guys Burner off.
-
What have you done Pickle ? :LolLolLolLol:
Just had another sneak peak and I was informed 12 people are now viewing it per hour !! :crazy2:
That colour scheme hasn't become an easier on the eye though >:(
I agree with many on here though... I've got a soft spot for an old burner in general.
There was a lovely night burner on the Chester ride recently :4_17_5:

My first BMX was also a Mk1 Burner when i was 12 back in '81, loved it and rode it to death, i just wouldn't pay £650 for that one.
-
Got a feeling this will also be re-listed? can't for the love of me see that type of value in it? ???

To be fair, that's an original team aero pro so that's probably nearer what they go for.
That's as far away from a standard MKII as it can be :daumenhoch:
