Title: UK Haro Rise of BMX Freestyle Book launch and signing
Post by: PHIPPSIO on August 07, 2013, 04:21 AM
Guys

Bob and I will be hosting an event in London (probably north central) on 22nd August in a venue with a bar and screen. The book will be on sale and their will be a few other industry guys (Craig Campbell, Pete Hawkins, Chris Young, Tim March, among others) and BMX press on site for an evening of Haro history indulgence. We have a few presentations to run through including some unseen Haro images from Bob's personal archives and he will do a little story telling and Q and A. He will also talk about IKONIX for the first time. I also have a short I-Movie that shows some behind the scenes tour images that didn't make it into the books from guys like Wilkerson, Blyther, Bill Hawkins, Marc McGlynn and Donovan Ritter.

We are trying to control the numbers so a RSVP To dom@harobmxcollector.com copying Dini Kennedy -  dini069@gmail.com who is helping us make arrangements would be appreciated.

Venue will be confirmed this week. I hope you can join us for a cool and unique evening. I am overseas until the 19th so any questions, please be aware that I am around 8 hours behind you.

Absolutely gutted Dom but I'll be on my jollies with the good lady wife :'( :'(
I guess this also means no Haro stand at MK13 ?  :(
I'm sure the event is going to be a mega success.
Best of luck and I'm very jealous of you lucky bleeders who can attend  >:D

Real shame you guys can't do it a few days earlier at MK next weekend, it would have been the best place to do it really  :'(

This event is blowing up to be huge. Some very cool people confirmed from the 80's British freestyle scene. Craig C is going to spin some tunes at the back end of the evening and the venue is awesome.

MK would have been good. I will still be in the US and Bob will be in Berlin at Red Bull revolutions over that weekend so its just logistics that scuppered it. Otherwise we would have been there for sure.

Denny, no worries. They will be whatever the conversion on $40 is on the day. Its around £26 I think or there abouts.

Everybody who has emailed me will be able to come in and attend the whole evening. We have a late license I think and Craig Campbell will be DJing for some of the evening.

I look forward to seeing you guys in London. Should be an ace night with lots of very cool people from the sports history in the UK.
