Dumb dumb dumb question....
My latest purchse didn't come with a rear brake - thats fine I thought - I'll just wack one on - however....
I can't figure out how the brake is meant to mount as there is no usual top bracket rear mounting. The mounting seems to be on trhe lower bracket. That means if I try and put a standard MX side pull lever it winterferesd with the pedal arm.
So...
Is there a special rear brake assembly for lower bracket mounts? Or am I completely missing something ?
Help! Please :-[

It has a hoop bar at the top but that does not have a hole drilled to mount brakes.
It has what I would consider a mounting bracket at the bottom on the lower strutt.

Nail whatever brake you want in the hole down there :daumenhoch:

Nail whatever brake you want in the hole down there :daumenhoch:
can't - standard side lever interferes with pedal arm as sticks out too much :(

What you expect I am pi$$ed ;D
Does it catch if you put it underneath ???

I would either try mounting a caliper to the very underneath of the frame, as thats how it looks as though it designed to be ran. Or maybe use the coaster bracket for a coaster brake :daumenhoch:
It may well need a specific caliper though, like the one that the mongoose decade ran :daumenhoch:

What about a plate and a ubrake?

You need one of these mounted from underneath :daumenhoch:
Dia Compe 750 caliper.
