Before the Finals.. myself and a few of the Burner Boys had a cruise round the track... Proper Cool.. 8)
Anyway.. If you know the names of these guys give them a shout...

That kids face is a picture.
He beat an older kid (who was about 6) and when he finally came in he was shaking his head in disgust that he came last. He was well disappointed with himself.
Very funny.

Here is another.... The kids were great...
Think this is the girl that beat her brother in the final...
the little lad smiled at us everytime he passed the berm we were stood at...
(He may have been laughin at our 'Burner' t-shirts... :-[)

-
My respect to you guys for taking those bikes on the track. That is sooo moto. Some of the cats around here would freak at the thought of taking their bikes out on the track. Very cool
-
Great photos. I had a really great day, thank you to everyone for being so friendly. I really enjoyed getting on my bike (after 18 years), even if I did start a bit slow, I felt my confidence gaining later in the day - enough to jump those tiny whoops ;D Although my old bones are aching a bit today :LolLolLolLol:
My Dad took some photos too, although might just have been of me but I will see and try to get some posted on.
Thank you all again. SJN x
-
Which ones were the "tiny" ones??? I dont think I spotted those!
:LolLolLolLol:
-
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: It was the ones coming out of the 3rd bern, just some little double ones. That in itself was quite an eye opener for me, how much the tracks have changed - how many more jumps there are now - scary for someone that hadn't been on a bike in years !!!! ???
-
I still get scared when I do a bunny hop off the curb :LolLolLolLol:
-
Will send it now....

cant beleive the braking surface of tuffs saved me from that nasty predicament

SJN has promised to scan some of her old scrapbook photos in the next few weeks which i'll host & post up here on the forum for everybody to see! there should be some good history in there :daumenhoch:
i'm guessing there might be another entry in the racing next year though ;)

Loved the first one of me.
The first crash one looks nasty, I wouldnt want the spacefruit running my arm over.
Some cool style coming from the os riders, billy stupple and darren looking good in a couple.
-
I have to say, that looked like a great day, and night maybe.
You can tell by the pictures how good it was.

Yeah Kev, it's Mike.
I joined up to RAD ages ago and used to post on the original forum, but when the forum got changed I had problems logging on from my own PC. I seem to be able to log on OK from here in the US though.

I loved that Zeronine shirt Mike, its got as many holes in it as my Hawks one to! Since Dingo said I looked like one of Take That in the early years I'm not so sure. >:( ;D
You would have loved the meet Mike, it was awesome. I'm sure you'd have done well in the racing with your newly hoaned new school skills you've picked up riding with Lee 'the smoothest' Baker and the Peckham crew.

Yeah, I would've loved to be there. Typical really, 2 old school events come along at once and I'm out of the country! Some really nice bikes on display (the black GTs look lovely!) and great to see so many old schoolers riding the track too.
6 years ago, before my lad was born, I had loads of old school stuff (about 4 PKs, a Floval, a Hutch Hollywood and a Skyway TA) but I got rid of them all as I thought it was a shame to hoard them and not ride them, so I sold it all and just kept my favourite (a NOS gold PK Ripper with baby blue and gold stickers). Now I wish I'd kept at least one to ride at these old school meets. I've got a Mini Ripper waiting for Josh to ride when he's tall enough though!
