Hi
What's best mk1 or mk2 Raleigh burner?
Think I prefer the mk1
-
Both shit :LolLolLolLol: get a GT that's the best idea you have ever had ;D
-
Mk1 :smitten:
Would love to find a decent MK1 F&F for the right money :daumenhoch:
-
Me too, the search is on
-
If you have to have a Burner, then MKI all the way. Terrible geometry though which somehow Raleigh got even worse with the MKII ???
Mongoose Cali would be a much nicer bike to ride and in looks, and go for around the same price (ish)

The MKII burner for me, is THE worst ever BMX made......just a horrible thing.
-
Good call on the Cali too Rob :daumenhoch:
The reason I love them is its what I remember from been a kid and looking in my mums club book at the (think it was KAYS) and sneaking a crafty look at the women's underwear section as well
We all rode Burners, Cali's, Vipers, Ammaco's etc etc when we first started and thats why I love em :daumenhoch:
I would love a MK1 Super Tuff :daumenhoch:

There have been a few MK1 burners on ebay recently. Saw a couple of lovely Ultra Burners on there in Black and Gold and a bog standard red and yellow. Where it all started for me, so IMO you have to love them.
-
From the MK1 burner i then upgraded to a Cali :)
so love both those bikes.

If you get a mark one burner, put some bigger size Win V bars on it, it makes the bike feel much bigger. The mark 1 bars are far too small if you are over 5 feet 5 inches tall.
Personally the mark 2 burner is better for a taller rider if you get a supertuff, ultra or night mark 2 they come with really big bars.
Personally an aero Pro or cromo burner would be a better choice if you want a burner that's actually nice to ride.

I never had a Burner
I did have a go on one once though

Fill your boots with this plethora of beauties :4_17_5:

Fook me that is a cracking collection. That black painted Pro Burner is just gorgeous. "wantit"

If it a burner for show, I still like the look of the Red 'n' Yellow or Blue 'n' Yellow MK1s :)
-
If said it before and I will say it again, for me the Blue and yellow tuff burner is an iconic bike right up there with the Raleigh Chopper and its definitely an iconic BMX.

Just look at this good looking young man :D

I think a mk2 is slightly better than a mk1. I rode my mates once and it like being on a teddy trike. Felt shorter than a trickstar.

I never ;)
Have to agree with you on the sneaking a look and the underwear in your Mums catalogue though :LolLolLolLol:
