Might all change in the last couple of minutes.

Pretty good price if it only gets the one bid too.

Not surprised at all that that didn't sell.

That would be the high end value of a very good original Changa Long

I agree, the starting price was too high. Should have started it a low price, and it would have got to £700/£800 in no time. I'd have put a bid in at that level to chance it. People like to TRY to get a bargain, then enjoy a good bidding session once the 'bargain' price has been achieved. It's worth £1000-£1500 on a good day

is it me, or is that head tube longer than normal ? say 5" ?

I thought vdc was worth loads or is it a low end vdc. I've seen vdc bars sell at £500 I thought a frame and forks would be worth loads. I don't know a good one from a cheap one

I think you have a point;

(http://i1314.photobucket.com/albums/t568/bufta2/aaa_zps24aeb2b4.jpg) (http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/bufta2/media/aaa_zps24aeb2b4.jpg.html)

(http://i1314.photobucket.com/albums/t568/bufta2/T2eC16FHJGQFFh-JFmLlBSPQ7z3EIw60_12_zps6d3fda97.jpg) (http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/bufta2/media/T2eC16FHJGQFFh-JFmLlBSPQ7z3EIw60_12_zps6d3fda97.jpg.html)

In the sellers ebay description he writes;

"It was bought from the USA with some damage to the down tube and the chain stays. I contacted Voris Dixon in California who said he would be please to look at it and maybe repair it. It is the first original 1980's Changa he has worked on since the heyday of BMX. He repaired the damaged sections and photo documented it all."

Although he does not mention the previous head tube issue on his ebay listing, he mentions it on BMXMUSEUM as being 'sawn off', so one must assume it has been worked on;

"It had sledge hammer dints to the down tube and the top of the head tube was sawn off."

There's a set of bars on egay that's been there for over a year at that price and will be for another ten. They don't SELL at that price.

Pro bars peaked at around £380 18 months or so ago
Current prices are £230-280 (and have been seen as low as £110 for a knarly set)

Expert bars are slightly less, cruiser bars are way more.

You could buy this

http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,167195.0.html

It's as cheap as chips and the money you save from not paying the over inflated £1300 for a VDC you can put quality parts on it.
Then you'll have one of the best and iconic race bikes from the 80s.

Lots of £££ doesn't mean they are any good.
Hype = bollocks!

I love them though Nick. Sort of ugly, yet beautiful at the same time. Look mean as fook too. All in all, a bit like Amy Winehouse, Cher Lloyd or Kate Moss. No oil paintings in the traditional sense, but their style & rough edges do it for me.

Both a bit rock & roll. Kate's better quality, obviously  :)
