Title: truing radial wheels
Post by: garran on September 30, 2013, 06:27 PM
alright guys, some of you may remember that i had a go of building a wheel, my spokes were too long so it was only a bit of practice. anyway i took some spokes from another wheel i has and radial laced it. it looks ok i think but its so out of true, any tips how to straighten it. cheers

It's not advised to radial lace a rear wheel,
at least the drive side should be cross laced or it will cause twisting when pedaled. (fine on the front)

when lacing, try to evenly tighten all the nipples the same amount of turns (always make sure the nipples are matching or it can get a bit confusing). Then true as ness until straight and tort.

Good luck  :daumenhoch:
