Looking at a few rides I see some of you like your rear cable to hang different on the top tube !
some on top and some to the right side - a few to the left and some under the tube
so who does what and what looks best ?
cheers B ???
-
I like mine to the right but if it was with a 901 it would have to be to the left, the ones that fit them on top are usually running them with the chrome cable clamps (so the screw is fitted out of the way i.e. under the bar)
-
I run the DC clamps (chrome, not the plastic one's) and for picture shots face the DIA COMPE part out towards the right side
same as matching tyre logo up with valve cap - and taking pic's chain side
But I do wonder what people prefer ?
also rear brake left or right ? and if running a pair, is it the same side as running a single ? so does that also count which way the cable is ?
-
I always have rear brake on the left, front on the right.
-
and what about cable ?
-
On the right or underneath.
-
Cable on top and rear brake lever on the left side of bars
-
so no one swaps over if they run two brakes or other way around for just rear ?

No, I could get confused in a sudden braking situation and end up under a bus
-
Unless you have OCD it doesn't matter?
-
Is it April 1st? ???
-
Left if its a 901 and right for a 900/1000.
-
Depends which way you bar spin.
-
what if your rear brake is mounted under the chainstays? christ my brain is fried!!! :D
-
millions of kids are laughing at this thread .... brakes pfffffffffffffffffft

:LolLolLolLol:
I'll say it once more - IT DEPENDS WHICH WAY YOU BAR SPIN.
-
Back brake lever on the right, cable around the headtube and down the left side/underside of whicher tube leads to where your brake is. Anything different to that is incorrect. :yahoo_silent:
-
Front brake on the right, rear brake on left. Cable down the right side of top tube held with chrome DC clamps. This is the only way to do it and is actually law in 12 different countries..................may be.

;D
-
I always put my rear brake lever on the right, even if I have a front brake too. :-\
As for the cable if you have a frame pad installed, run it underneath through the middle of the foam. :daumenhoch:
-
No rules here ::) Just as it takes me :coolsmiley:
-
Rear brake lever on right :daumenhoch:
Cable to right of top tube running through the gap in the Frame Pad :daumenhoch:
or
Cable on top if using DC cable clamps... think the screw looks better underneath :daumenhoch:

No apostrophe B...!! :D
