Dont use vinegar use citric acid and make sure the seat is guts down the the tub so the dissolving rust doesn't stain the plastic  :daumenhoch:

A little tub or two from wilkinsons home brew section should be enough or you can buy it on the bay in bulk

I guess this tub aint too little  :LolLolLolLol:

What Clint's saying is if you have the seat 'gut's upwards' (ie the seats upside down in the citric bath) that the dissolving rust from the rails will settle on the underside of the placcy seat and stain it. If you pop the seat in right way up, then the rusty cack won't settle on the underside of the seat but on the bottom of whatever container you're using  :daumenhoch:

And deffo use citric acid.

Once you've finished your seat take it out and you have a tasty beverage, not many people know but this is how they make Irn Bru

The surrounding liquid was made in Scotland from girders  :daumenhoch:

Maybe use a sieve to filter out some of the chunks :)

Could you oxy bath it to clean the rails or would it not agree with the plastic?  :-\

I happen to have a set of dominator seat guts stewing in white vinigar at the moment and so far so good........ Tomorrow I'm going to chuck the seat in half a gallon - I'm not overly worried.  The container and lid in the picture is at least 18 months old and shows no sign of discoloration..... Smells a bit mind  ;D
