Looking through some pics of the bikes I'd built since getting back into BMX 5 years ago, and I got thinking and got nostalgic thinking about the buzz I got building my first BMX in 23 years, remembering the different brands and searching the Bay and forums getting my parts for it. :'(

There were 2 bikes I wish I'd kept, then I thought fook it, I'll build them again one day maybe?? :-\

 Mine were...

 1985 Aero Reflex

 ...and 1984 Haro FST

...so, which one of the builds that you've let go would you build a replica of?? ???
-

Me too Dave, shat to ride though, but that's only as I've got more used to riding my Goose and Kuwie. :-\
-
Done my ET, Curtis is on the cards  :daumenhoch:

-
That FST  sure was sweet! Dan. Rode it MK11, and loved it; and it looked perfect. :smitten:

But then, most of your builds tend to.

I miss my first build, too; it was also an Aero Reflex, and it had a snake post.  :slayer:

I don't miss my Haro build at all! and I do love my two DBS and my factory spec  Kuwie nova resto.

But now I sense that I may have hijacked the thread so I will shut up.  :-[

They are really nice trousers Steve.  :daumenhoch:

I do actually own a survivor BH California, my first bike, and totally complete (even the original tyres), which Wini set me up for £50 on the bay.

And it is still just as horribly heavy and non standard as it was in 1982, but when I ride it the muscle memory trigger puts a big stupid grin on my face.

I now build the bikes I dreamed of, that my parents probably dreamed of being able to afford to buy me.
-
Still got my original loopy Ripper and the mix match of parts that it had  :daumenhoch:

-
I really miss this build, still can't believe I traded it and would gladly get another:

It took you that long and you couldn't even be bothered to put on the redundant gold LH brake lever  ::)

Nice seeing all these builds again.  :)

-
Sweet, never saw this thread when I started the first build one but it links nicely.

Had a couple of goes at recreating (with a colour twist) my ride bitd.  I was too green the first time and it was a bit 'cheap'

Took my time second time around and got the parts it pretty much came as stock
