Post by: ED209 on November 27, 2013, 10:19 PM
looking at buying a spider but its listed in 2 sizes...

sizes 15/16” – 23.8mm and 3/4" - 19mm Spindle Hole.

whats the old/early mid standard? I'm guessing 19mm  :daumenhoch:

Recently read thata "standard 1piece crank is 23.8mm"; so i'd say 23.9mm is the standard ---- if i'm wrong, blame Brett :D

since most 3pc/race cranks' spindles seem to be 19mm, you should be (al)right with a 19mm bored spider

:) Think most spiders had a 23.8 mm hole that fitted straight onto 1 pc cranks and older square taper axle 3 pc cranks. You can then add a tophat washer to fit to  either a 19 mm or 22 mm crank spindle.
