Hey guys, i've had someone win a seat clamp from me on ebay. The bidder is in Australia and said he didn't realise that the auction was a UK auction. ::)
Anyway he has asked if i can post it to him but has asked me to quote freight and send a paypal invoice?
I said i would go to the PO to find out how much it is, by why does he want me to mark as Freight? I thought that was for commercial stuff and i always associate Freight with large items.
Just wanted to check if this isn't some sort of scam as by marking it as freight it doesn't cover me in some way as a seller.
I would have to send him then Paypal invoice through ebay anyway i would have thought?

......its not that mrightway dude ihope.... :surprise:

other than that; might be that he's thinking about the import tax - you can subtract the shipping costs from the total but need proof for that. (Might also be that he actually doesn't have to pay any tax at all --- here in g'many at least you only start paying for items i think 50 euro plus... ...but may be he's inexperienced )
however if it in fact is that mrightwayguy you're dealing with expect it's a trap... ::)

Thanks for the replies, the seller is called dirtyRS4. I will ask him why he wants me to mark as freight, although not really happy about it TBH.
Cheers Julian

I'd tell him to f**k off and re list it

of course you could also just ebay message him the postage costs --- and send him a paypal invoice for the full amount dunno if goes like that :chin:

freight is just a term some Aussies use for 'shipping' or 'postage', I wouldn't worry. :daumenhoch:

Don't think it's a move Julian think it's just Aussie for shipping as said.
Import duty into Oz is only triggered after something like $1000 so I don't think it's like us asking for stuff to be marked as gift.
I'd just invoice him for the full amount, ie, item and shipping via RM airsure.
