they have received there item.... :-\
I know it would be impossible to police but shouldn't it be just be part of the rules that buyers should let sellers know there item has landed and that they are happy with it. ???
so many times I've been hanging onto the post receipt, wondering if the buyer has received the item, isn't it just curtious to let the seller know all's ok?
rant over and out!
-
I always let the seller know :daumenhoch:
-
I agree Sam, I'm a fooker for forgetting to pm the seller, I do try to comment in the thread wherever possible, usually if the seller is bumping what's left. A few positive comments sometimes helps. :daumenhoch:
-
I try too
but as a seller I often have to employ the 'no news is good news' policy :LolLolLolLol:
I think it's just good old common courtesy to inform the seller that your item has been delivered, especially this time of the year :tickedoff:
-
I agree
I would have thought it was common courtesy to let the seller know.
But so many don't
-
+1
I alway send a pm :daumenhoch:
I always let the seller know :daumenhoch:
-
It would be a great idea, I always contact people here and on ebay, bmxmuseum etc etc to say that the item has arrived safely, that way they can relax.
Only every so often do I get a message to say the item I have sent has arrived.
Yes Ed I am looking at you!!!!!!!!! :LolLolLolLol:
-
Would the feedback idea, like the Museum and Ebay, not be better adapted for Rad ???
This way, when looking to buy from a member on here, you can check the sellers feedback and decide if you want to deal with him/her. Then I wouldn't have been stitched up with a useless set of cranks :yahoo_silent:
-
I always let Pete know I'm still waiting!!! :LolLolLolLol:
-
I think I do it.. ???
It's good a code of practice :daumenhoch:
-
I always eventually send a thanks pm but often forget for a day or so..... :uglystupid2:
Best tell Steve my Supergoose3 f&f has arrived and it's exactly as described - rough as a badger's @rse :2funny:
-
It's just manners really....
-
Pm or post in sales thread. :daumenhoch:
-
It's just manners really....
Spot on John :daumenhoch:
If i sell something i PM the person saying it has been posted with the tracking number etc . If i buy something i always PM or bump the lads for sale thread once it has arrived , sometimes both :)
-
I'm not on Facebook :)
-
It's just manners really....
X3
But to be honest it's worse over here...
-
I reckon I get about a 20% response on stuff I send out :yahoo_silent:
-
Yeah same here I always let seller know its turned by pm +in post just so they get a free bump. My Gran always use to say treat people the same how you would like treated
-
People used to notice bad manners
Nowadays sadly you're more likely to notice good manners
-
Manners cost nothing, always good to let buyer know item is on the way & when you've received something too
It's fookin easy to do :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
Manners maketh the man.
-
I allways pm the buyer personally when posted
I allways pm the seller personally when item arived
Just good conduct me thinks
Peace of mind too :)

What the fook are you talking about? You've never informed me when any of the items you've bought have arrived.

I said I TRY to! :teef:
-
I always do also... :daumenhoch:
But i prefer to get one back when it arrives safely at the buyer. And if he's happy with the deal.
;)
-
I always send a quick pm letting them know the items arrived... I just see it as common courtesy.
-
I think it should be a given to pm the seller if your item arrives :daumenhoch:
I've always had success buying items on rad with no problems at all.
I can't see how a feedback system would work on here?(too complicated to set up and monitor)
I always used number of posts by the seller as a rule for buying.
A high number of posts was always a sign that the seller had been on rad a long time and therefore trustworthy otherwise surely they would have been kicked off rad a long time ago?
I also used to check if they had sold before and ofcourse if the number was high you could always assume they would see you right?
Simples no ? ;)
I guess the site going down and people losing their post counts and pm data somewhat complicated matters ? ::)

Feedback would be good! It will also show bad feedback so new people etc can see if previous deals where good or bad and if the seller is trust worthy, just like on the museum, if anyone was spending £1000 on stuff and the feed back was crap you'd prob think twice about doing it!
-
It might stop all threads turning into messers/flippers threads too!
-
Feedback would be a great idea. The problem is doing it. I'm not even sure if the software supports a feedback system

i thought feedback was a good idea, but not so sure now.
take ebay, some tit's don't leave feedback which is crap. when they get a good deal, packaged well and posted straightaway.
(if on here (radbmx) they can't be arsed to let you know they've got the item what makes you think they can be arsed to leave feedback)
the museum, feedback can be left for anything from buying a £5000 bike to telling someone they've put their landing gear decal on the wrong way on the fork leg.
also your "mates" can bump your feedback up with made up items.
on the museum the feedback function is open all the time for you to give someone a score.
it would only work if the feedback option pops up when a transaction is opened.
