Yep, you could well be right.  I ploughed through 400 odd bikes on the museum looking for inspiration.........  I might just have it powdered matt black and weld a barbecue on the back as it has been the biggest twat of a build and is currently stripped again in the middle of the cave as I've decided that the powder is shit and it needs a trip to SBD.  Current favourite is looking to be CT crank with black chain ring........  I was saving the flights for either the quad, or possible my New Years Vector Mark 2 treat  ;)

So where do I find these Fuji cranks....... ;) tell me you have a box of them and you only want £15 posted.

Sorry Bert wish i had a set to sell you, i just lifted that image off the musum as not many people have seen them before i think  :-\

If you do find a set, dib dobs when you go to sell em  :LolLolLolLol:

I appreciate your woes thought. The whole TA look is always chrome/white with red, white and blue bits bolted on. It looks good but every fooker has done it now and no one has the balls to try something else. Besides a bright orange TA would probably struggle when it came to resale values.

Go on Bert i dare you, do something different  :daumenhoch:

Just been looking on the museum and of 367 TA's on there only one isnt chrome or white!

Never really been into TA's and now i think i know why.

Saw one recently that had been stripped and i could really appreciate the beauty of the frame design. I guess familiarity breeds contempt  :daumenhoch:

I do have a custom pad and decal set for it - red and black, rather than red and blue and its definitely not going to be running tuffs.

Out of your options it would have to be the flights or the 1pc if you're setting it up for race.

The CT's only if it's freestyle.

You can Buy what ever you want now you've won that new school ride Bert  :daumenhoch:! CT's were stock i think in the 1984 Haro freestyler & the sport when they put a full Bike out.  :daumenhoch:

I've only just managed mid school, my boy gets to go all new school on me the lucky sod!  Funnily enough I bought the CTs for a Haro build...... I'm trying another build tomorrow and I'll throw a pic up for comment.

You'd need one like this

I know Chris, the ring I supplied mounts onto the main ring which is machined as the ring/spider combo  :daumenhoch:

It was just an example. And as they are 175's, why not dare to be different to the vast amount of bikes that are currently fitted with Redline cranks  :daumenhoch:

Ask an old team rider if you're not sure.  :)

Don't put the TA cranks on it either, TA Cranks are either for an older or smaller (ie expert, mini) build.

I would be looking at Profile Box, Redline Flights, Terry Cable, CW maybe Cook Bros for a complete different look, something high end.

If you want something completely different the look at White Bros cranks

Thats because they only came in chrome or white. The flipside is that a fair few original chrome ones have been powdered white.

Agree that most do red or blue colour combos though. thats why I did my white (original white) one with gold bits

with Sugino CT cranks
