Title: Museum
Post by: Jim on January 05, 2014, 12:40 PM
Just wondered if its worth becoming a pro member on the museum. I've had a little scoot around on there and it seems 95% of their members won't ship internationally...............thoughts anyone?

Well worth it, it's only $20.
Great info there and once you build up a good reputation most will ship even if they state they won't. Worst case scenario, get someone else to ship it for you, plenty of good guys on there.
Humour is diabolical though.

What humour? :LolLolLolLol:

I always pm them to ask if they will ship, most say yes.

Build up a positive feedback and that will help.

I haven't been a Pro Member for a few years now, never found the need to really.

I am a pro member. Cant say its made a world of difference, but given it isnt a lot of money it does help being able to use the wanted section and a few other buying / selling features.

I buy a fair bit from the museum, and most members will ship if you ask nicely

+me

Just nicely ie not licking their balls or opening negotiations with a low ball offer   :LolLolLolLol:

If they give you a quote for shipping remember they'll have factored in some shipping for lower 48 so try not to let them add the complete amount to the UK on top, some will try.

I worked that one out pretty quickly myself  ;D
Not deducting their US shipping cost then adding the full UK shipping cost to the price of the item  :knuppel2:

They do try still though as they think we Brits are stupid  :crazy2:   ;D

Lots of good guys on there though and always willing to help you out  :daumenhoch:
