Hello BMX Fans,
I am owner of 2 Rocket X1 frames, and like to know if there are more people who own a Rocket X1?
-
Sell me 1 of them. ;D
Welcome to Rad.
-
Currently i'm in contact with the designer and maker of the Phazer I ( Ron Vigneri) made in New Jersey by Speed Unlimited, he told me that the Rocket X1 model frame is almost the same as the Phazer I,
the Rocket X1 was made in Holland by Slammin Sammy Miller and Henk Vink ( both rocket bike/ car icons form the 80's). He told me that Sammy and He made the first Phazer together, but later on Sammy produced almost the same frame in Europe the only difference were the back brackets on The Rocket X1. The frames were made as an special edition.
I'm curious if there are still Rockets left ......
For more info about the story please check the site of Ron Vigneri...

Cool info, never heard of them before. You can definitely see the Speed Unlimited influence in the rear dropouts.
Can't make up my mind if I like it or not though. :-\

Wazza a member on here had one last year, not sure of he sold it, or not? :daumenhoch:

The back brackets are welded like hell, can not believe they fall off.

These are foooooooookin cool bud, been after one for ages I just love the look of them.
Was supposed to be one floating about fbook last week :chin:
-
The 'Bottom bracket' not the back bracket (rear drop outs) :daumenhoch: this happened as people applied to much pressure/tork when spinning the pedals :)

Just found out that i have the fully welded version of the Rocket X1 ( serialnumber b 2662) , as we look above we see that the pictures of wazza contains the frame with the open bottom bracket, mine dont fall off i believe......
-
50 fraqmes that where delivered to the uk came back, cause of broken bottom brackets.
what i said before the design fails
-
50 ? in what year? tell me about it
-
Dont know the year : from the 250 made there is a handfull left thats is not broken or cracked at the bottom bracket
-
Strange that there are full welded frames and open bottom bracket frames off the Rocket ,
:) :) do you think the Phazer frame has the same problem with the design..?
-
would really like to see one of em built up :)
Me too. :daumenhoch:
