Title: Tips on DX type pedal polishing
Post by: ED209 on January 16, 2014, 06:16 AM
Got some GT DX peds that need a polish to be at their best...

Whats the basic kit I need to get in all the crooks & nannies inside the pedals?

Not looking for 'mirror' just 'original'  :daumenhoch:

A dremmel or similar and some polishing heads, small and very small plus some autosol or peek.

hey Ed, you can also use cotton buds in the dremel, cut em in half and one side of em will not unravel when you spin em. they get into the hard to reach bits.

I have (not for me you understand) polished DX's for someone once, and as Scratch has said cut off cotton bud + dremel + polishing compound of your choice = win. Bit of rubbing alchohol or isopropyl alchohol to get rid of the grey smears you can leave works a treat as well.
