My Fly bikes cranks turned up yesterday, very nice, and have a 22mm spindle. Today my 39t Federal chainring came, but it looks like I need a 23.8mm - 22mm top hat washer to go on there, with it being a 10 year old chainring.
I may have one in the shed of course, but just in case I don't, does anyone know where I can get one as most of the online places I've looked don't seem to have them.
cheers

I have a tub of various top hats, If you need one I'll have a check and see if I spare one :daumenhoch:

Ah thanks that's kind of you, I've checked and I don't have one

Found one :daumenhoch:
Found I have a problem as well. I just bought a set of Profile SS cranks and it looks like the axle is 22 and a bit mm. Washer will slide onto a Primo axle but not the SS axle :'(
Gonna have to track down a SS BB.
PM your addy Gav and I'll pop it in the post.

Yep - SS's are 22.1mm fella - equates to 7/8". You can lightly sand out the internal side of the top-hat on a 22mm to get it to fit.
-
Luckily I've got a top hat that fits, it's the BB that I haven't got, I was going to buy a Primo one off ebay, but guessing it will not fit. The cranks came with a ti axle that is 22mm. But the end bolts will not look right on my build.

Yep - Primo one won't fit.
Was it these one's:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Profile-Bmx-Cranks-/291060986365?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item43c49631fd&nma=true&si=RKylAoGrJFJLZVB0aRoPc4xojrE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Cos the end bolts on that pair are the same flush SS end bolts I got with my SS cranks back in '97.
BB wise you just want some R12-2RS bearings off eBay that are 7/8 internal and slap them into some Profile alloy American BB cups.
I've got some brand spankers new bearings if you want em.

I got mine off Diggler, he has deleted the thread now though. I've had a set of DJ cranks in the past. Regret selling them. Are the cups the same? There is a new set for sale on ebay. Found some profile bearings in winstanleys.
-
Yeah - cups are the same for both standard and SS - only the inner ring (ooh-er etc) of the bearing's different. Gives a shout if you ever need the new uns I've got - you can have em for nowt.
