Title: Subsitute VDC Forks
Post by: bodamus on February 15, 2014, 09:24 PM
Anybody know of a good pair of substitute forks to use on a VDC Changa other than mega expensive Bottemas?

Any thoughts welcomed please :daumenhoch:

Yes Ian sell the frame to me cheap 😄. And I will put my bottemas m1's on it which are there just waiting for a worthy frame 😍.The redline forks are nice the ones with the big triangular dropouts , landing gears wouldn't look right , it's a hard one as you want something that's good but ideally you don't want to be sinking 400 or 500 quid on some bottemas and you'll never get Vdc forks

In an interview with Voris Dixon, he said that he copied the design from Robinson forks. Can't remember if he used to make Robinson stuff bitd. You'd need to get the steerer tube extended though to take the 5 inch headtube.

The headtube on a Changa is 4-5/8" so you'll want a fork steertube around 6"

As Glen said your options are slim, Redline Proline sound feasible or possibly Champion  :-\

How about getting Voris to repop a set for you, gotta be a better option then 'cut n shut'

have you got a frame? Or you gonna have a pop at Ray's 83  ^"^ (wouldn't mind that myself)
