Title: How to fade stuff... like grips?

anyone know a way to fade brightly coloured stuff .... like grips? other than long periods of bright sunlight  :laugh:

I've tried the washing machine. Instead of putting in detergent I've put in bleach. If you do this rember to run the washing machine through hot a couple of times to remove all traces. It sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. I think it must depend on how they were stained originally.  :-\

Leave them in the conservatory window . I've even bleached anno in there

What about boiling in bleach?

I don't know enough about boiling bleach . Maybe there's some bomb makers on here could help

The best way to fade stuff is UV; you need the sun.  Send them to me and I will leave them out in the yard for a few days ;)
