Title: How to fade stuff... like grips?
Post by: ED209 on February 20, 2014, 11:37 AM: anyone know a way to fade brightly coloured stuff .... like grips? other than long periods of bright sunlight :laugh:

Post by: BMX1973 on February 22, 2014, 09:10 AM: I've tried the washing machine. Instead of putting in detergent I've put in bleach. If you do this rember to run the washing machine through hot a couple of times to remove all traces. It sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. I think it must depend on how they were stained originally. :-\

Post by: MartyC on February 22, 2014, 01:09 PM: The best way to fade stuff is UV; you need the sun. Send them to me and I will leave them out in the yard for a few days ;)
