just food 4 thought 4 peeps. I have always stripped with caustic as bitd. Then I discovered 2 my annoyance that some of the annodising remains in place that the naked eye can't c :knuppel2: This cost me in that I polished a load of stuff took it 4 anno. when I picked it up some was dull not shiny as it should b. He said he had 2 restrip some stuff as anno was still present. Just thought u might like 2 know what I have gleaned 2 save urselves hastle . He stripped all this in ten mins as I waited. Cost me £20 and a lot of time stripping and dealing with the crappy residue caustic/oven pride leaves that is also toxic .

Sometimes the right "tool for the job" is the best way to go, even if it does cost a little more. Yep im interested to see what you do with that hub :daumenhoch:
-
easier yes, but where's the satisfaction from watching it fizz and the light headedness when a lot of fumes go up your nose when you lean over to see how it's going. :D

Good stuff,
I'm stripping some ukai rims at the moment using oven pride,
proving to be tough buggers in parts :10_2_12:
-
I just shiny sided some black ukai's . Annodising was dead tuff . Fingers r now sore :tickedoff:

Yep, best tool for the job is often the case. I stopped fookin about with paint stripper now as my local powdercoaters will strip stuff in his tank for me. Struggled with the last bits stuck to a bugger of a powerdisc, but the rest of the stuff has come out spotless :daumenhoch:
