Title: Need some decent mid school wheels? try BMX City :-)
Post by: ED209 on March 05, 2014, 08:01 PM
When over to BMX City today to pick up some wheels I had built ... here they are ...

...now before you poo poo them I'll tell you this ... £40  :)

They have a limited choice of Sun Rims... chrome / alloy / black / camo even ... - choice of black or chrome spoke and nipple colours ... laced to Pro Lite Stealth sealed hubs - 14mm or 10 mm axle ... fully built with 14t freewheel ... £40 ... if you want them posted its another £9.95 ... but if you are going to any RAD private sessions I could pick them up for you and drop them off  :daumenhoch: its only 10 mins from my house.

Now you may say that the Pro Lites are not the best or lightest hub and you are probably right... but seeing as most shops would charge £20 to build and true a pair of wheels ... I think these are a bargain ... and will look peachy on my Pork

You can email Dan @ BMX City direct and say what you want built and they will do it - thats a top service if you ask me  :4_17_5:

Cheers Ed, I'll mail him shortly.  Just waiting on the possibility of a set over here.  If they don't happen, I'll get a set made up.  Don't want you making a unnecessary trip though, I could ask him to store until you're next there   :daumenhoch:  :daumenhoch:

I bought some of these a while back, pretty pleased myself.

Not fussed on the rear loose ball hub, nowt wrong with it, it's just a bit agricultural looking, if I'd known they had sealed one's left I have got them as they look a lot better.

I've got some recently, polite stealth sealed hubs on sun big city chrome rims.  They emailed me to say that they had run out of black spokes so I asked for white, they arrived three days later and are awesome.  Good price too at just £54 Inc post, and I think the third set I've had from them in a few years
