Title: Bit of my Family History . Bike related.
Post by: animal on March 08, 2014, 02:19 PM
Some may know but my surname is Hateley. My great uncle opened this shop and also had a factory in Wolverhampton in the 50's . He went on 2 produce thousands of hand made bike frames and bikes over the years before his death in 1983. Some even riden by Olympic and big tour riders. His daughter in her 70's still runs the shop. I pop in 4 a chat from time 2 time. At my Nans wake her sister said I should pop in 2 c something special so I did 2 day .

Sure my buddy Phil will enjoy this bit of innovated engineering. This is a 1 off but there is a surviving prototype aswell.

The shop front reminds me of how bike shops used to look.  :)

Loving the ride too.  :daumenhoch:
