Title: Correct dye for tuffs
Post by: Hmoon27 on March 09, 2014, 09:06 PM
Ive got 2 sets of tuffs to dye , one yellow and one red.
What is the correct colour to use ie. signal red .... Is it just the fabric dye .....where's the best place to buy it?

I know this has been talked about several times , but it's more the process in the stickies section.

Cheers H

Rit liquid dye from ebay
when using the dye, if it doesn't dye it in 40 minutes it will never dye.
I had a white viscount aero seat i was dying black , I left it in the pot for 48 hours and it turned bronze instead of black , I contacted RIT , they were very helpful, do not add salt to the dye and depending on the grade of nylon depends on if it will dye or not, also add a small cup of washing powder helps to get into the pours of the nylon.
If your dying a set of faded tuffs but the same colour it should be very successful .
