Florian is correct - just so you know how he worked it out.

T = Tange
2 = 8'2'
L is the 12th letter of the alphabet so December

Likewise, especially as I'm building one myself!  :daumenhoch:

Are you going for factory-spec or your own?

With such a late date of manufacture, it wouldn't have reached the shops until '83, so for all intents and purposes I'd say it's an '83 model.

Good luck with the build!!  Subscribed :)

Might be worth doing an OA bath before going down the re-chroming route, depends on how fooked the chrome is  ???

You'll be surprised what can be brought back to health with a bath and a good polish with Peek.

There are some good threads on here about the process and results  :daumenhoch:

i think the Forks are past the bsath route but will give it a go thanks

in terms of the bath , if i fill a clean wheelie bin and put it in will that do it ? and how long should it be in there for ?

not sure on the build yet may just go with what ive got for now who knows
i just had to clear them out of the old fellas shed as he had yet another influx of stuff !!!

Don't use a wheelie bin, you need something you can lay the frame flat in, dog bath or summat similar  :daumenhoch:

Use the search function to find the threads, done a quick one and found this

Sure there's more on here, there's also some threads over on the museum that are worth reading  :daumenhoch:
