as above. try nitromors, if not that then move on to caustic. you sure its not powdercoat? pix would help....
-
Synstrip if its paint.
Or it might be what they call Hard Anno ... have a couple of goes with Oven pride or get Caustic as Phil said :daumenhoch:

Sugino CT cranks are 4130 Cro Moly so are not annodised. Did you mean Sugino GT?
What colour were they before? Ovenpride can sometimes turn the alloy a blackish colour due to the contaminants on the alloy surface, it should polish off.
-
If they have been left Black surely there is No anno on there ???
That discolouration only normally happens once the anno has been removed and is a sigh to Stop :daumenhoch:

What Marty said ^^^^ , CT's are cro-mo so no anno on those beeches ! .........
-
Diamond Back CTs hav a black anno spider though, is that what you're trying to strip? ???

Try a bit of wet and dry on them , they should come up silver/alloy ;)

I know what you mean , but 2nd pic down, right hand side of sugino decal
( which dident come off either lol ) is bare alloy the rest dident take , as you say maybe would polish up ok
With allott of work :)
I've used this stuff on pedals calipers etc
Left em for 5 mins , striped back to bare metal , wash off under tap dry & autosol for
Shiny shiny

The lettering has stayed as its paint . This has also stopped the ammo being stripped underneath . Unfortunately when ally is stripped it takes shit loads of work 2 get a nice finish again . I just done an Ultra Dyno resto the same. Pics in this board bit lower down ;)
