Getting old and I can't ride anything that doesn't have suspension anymore due to back problems. I hate riding my MTB around tracks as it has far too much suspension travel and gets on my nerves. I went looking for an alternative and quite by chance came across this frame which could be run single speed and only has 4" of travel. Here is the product of the build and it handles great and isn't like riding a space hopper on wheels. Hartlepool here I come :daumenhoch:
Dobermann Le Pink Long / Marzocchi 4x forks / Vendetta cranks / DMR short block rear hub / Mavic 729 rims etc etc

Proper nice F.A.B, seen a few short travel full bouncers at the 4X national last weekend, whats the weight like?
-
I really fancy one of these frames now, were is it from?
-
Thanks for the comments boys :daumenhoch:
Si, it weighs in at 31lbs which could probabaly be cut down quite a bit as I haven't tried to keep it particularly light. Go on then what's a F.A.B.?
Matt, I bought that frame 2nd hand off eBay but the distributor is www.balfa.co.uk, although they don't seem to be listing that frame anymore. The DMR bolt is a very similar idea and quite a bit cheaper. Dobermann bikes themselves are from Canada and as far as I know only contactable through Facebook.
The frame does have one problem however and that is the BB acts as a great shit trap and when I got this one 2nd hand I had to strip this area completely, dip it in Oxalic Acid and then repaint it as the dirt that had got in a stayed acted as a great grinding paste.

Fuck about bike :LolLolLolLol:
I had sommat similar on the go here, weight was about 38lbs but was largely unimportant :daumenhoch:
