Title: first Build
Post by: jasearch80 on April 09, 2014, 10:10 PM
hi all

i'm new to all this and have to say thoroughly enjoying every minute of the site and looking at the pictures of the bikes i remember from past days :) so to some of the die hard builders it will be nothing less than tosh... but the frame itself is  an old british make i believe called Stormer. it's a rare looking frame i have seen pics on the bmx museum of one very similar which is a 87 Ammaco freestyler. now to finish my build i think it needs some decals, would it be improper of me to decal it up as something it isn't?

i have no intention of selling it on...

any feedback appreciated :)

Welcome to the site, don't worry about anybody thinking your build will be tosh, we love any BMX.

It is all about building a bike that reminds you of days gone by where we didn't have the worries and commitments that we do now.

Cannot wait to see what you are building.

It's not about the cash or the cool factor it's always about what floats your boat :daumenhoch:

And as for the stickers/decals...It's your bike, build it how you want to. It's very easy (as i've learnt from my short time getting back into BMX) to get weighed down by what is accepted or what the 'correct' part is. If it looks cool and you like it, build it how you want.  :daumenhoch:
