A young rider from Leicester sadly died at Western Park while riding the old track which is now trails.
Some of the jumps are huge and by all accounts he was an outstanding rider, it doesn't state if he was wearing a helmet.

So sad for someone so young. We quickly forget how easy this could happen especially nowadays w/riding & tricks being so advanced & more emphasis on
the bigger the risk the better the thrill. Most of us have tried things in order to progress our riding or got amped up watching vids of our fave riders & have gone big or attempted to.This is the thrill & excitement of this sport that we all love.Unfortunately at the end of the day it doesn't matter how good you are it could happen to anyone. This is the risk we take every time we ride & that is part of the attraction.Testing yourself.Look at what happened to Stephen Murray. But does this stop us..........No.
It sucks that it has taken Pav's life but he died doing something he was passionate about.......BMX.
When i go I'd rather go doing something i love.
