Was wondering. Can you get genuine chrome or high polished chains. Why are they always slightly gold looking. I'm quite colourblind, so not sure if it's just me. is it because of the factory lubrication ?
Appreciate any ideas and or answers
Cheers

the anti rust gak they coat them in is often browny yes...

Thanks.
Do you reckon if you degreased and polished a chain it would come up well. (Silver)
It's for a show quality bike.

seems silver gets confused with chrome at times with chains. be specific if you want chrome but sometimes people will sell chrome ones as silver.. with peek polish and hard and medium toothbrushes i would imagine so . kmc, taya or pearl izumi. time consuming and fiddly tho. ... i ride all my bikes so never tried.. degresed loads of ones that are 98 % covered in shite . hard wearing so results usually good..

Thanks again.
May consider it as last resort
Anyone know if you can buy them already polished/plated ?

:) Tons of chrome chains available. The silver ones are just silver and don`t have as much of a shine.Nickel plated have a duller somewhat brown tinge to them.
