modern logo font

Any idea how old?

I think I have one of these, recently taken of a o.s bmx. I will have a look and see if mine has the same GT logo.
-
I have one of these too, purchased about 18-20 months ago on eBay. Sure the seller was out in Asia / Thailand area. Can't remember how much, but it was cheap. I have one identical, always thought the decal on it was too big though.
-
Bought mine in UK, I always thought it was half decent for the money?

Have all GT laybacks got stamping? I have a post with a GT decal that looks og but no stamping on it ???

No, early GT seatposts did not have stamping, They started stamping around 86. Circle with GT (font of the era) was first. The font is the biggest give away of the age of GT components. GT laybacks always were the same angle BITD too.
