Ok, after thirty years i have done her up for her birthday. Guess its a restoviver as only part restored. This is my OG bike from BITD, I spent so much time on it the chrome has worn off the crank slightly where my shoes rubbed against it! lol, bin under the stairs cos i never wanted to sell it, too much hard graft to buy it ( I had a burner which i kept buying good parts for then eventually bought the curtis and stuck all the good bits on) and too much sentiment involved. I have only 2 pictures of it BITD when it had CW pro bars, an SR stem, and MKS pedals pre what it ended up with, but i have no scanner to upload em to the net,
started out with this
(http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n517/eddieskratch206/stripped.jpg)
bit of frame polishing
(http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n517/eddieskratch206/clean.jpg)
took the file to the DX to rid the dings.
next the wheels, started with hubs, after much head scratching and net searching i found the paint to use, later confirmed by an old post on here where someone had already used it.
dupli color metal cast.

and after, managed to save some of the original paint and blended it into the new.

As for the rims, i used to have spencer rims on it, mangled one, bought an araya 7X but never bought another.
So bought these off Russ (Childhood Dream) so after all these years id finally have 2!!

After caustic soda and much hand sanding/polishing
(http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n517/eddieskratch206/IMAG0214.jpg)
Then after cleaning every other nut, bolt washer etc, and stipping and polishing my hutch stem, sorry no pics before but to say the least it was a mess (peeling chrome etc) i ended up with this, missing the fork and seat tube decals as they wore off years ago. Some of you are going to slate me for the non period correct rotor, but i always wanted one on it (they came out just as i was quitting) and until i can find or afford a correct period one its staying on.
Thanks to Martin 46 for persuading me not to re chrome it and keep it OG even though its pitted in places and therefore saving me a load of cash! Russ (childhood) for the rims and Andy (rooski) for the nos front dia compe blocks. Oh and THIS FORUM for being a goldmine of good chaps and info.
