So.... This is a small selection of my most recent stuff except the Big Hit. That bad boy was done 10 years ago and the photo a couple of months back just to show the longevity of it.
I don't post any photos of the hard ano I do as it's rarely asked for but the other half scratched a hard anodised DH frame down a brick wall and wiped off the marks. It's good stuff... but costly.
No issues answering questions etc. I get to play with chemicals and make a mess all day... life is sweet!! Enjoy ( I hope )
I do this as a full time job too. All the photo's I post are my own personal private customers. We are allowed to do cash jobs so i have my own customers for that. If anyone is planning to send bulk loads in once a month then they're welcome to go on as business customers!!! Basically, Unless there is a large part that needs polishing, I do everything from start to finish.

You're right, If it isnt ally, it needs to be removed. Most steel will just dissolve and sometimes can leave a few crappy marks so remove it before hand to save me having to do it ;)
I don't have a price list. I anodise thousands of parts for god knows how many sectors, doing a price list would take months. The best thing for you to do would be to message me or reply with a list of parts and I'll give you a quote ;D
-
ok no worries i'll pm ya with parts, and i need to work out postage cost too, just am in northern ireland, your work looks top quality :daumenhoch:
-
No need to try and work out return postage till payment is due.
I don't ask for payment till I've done the job and sent you a photo. If all is well then payment via paypal incl postage. Once i have that, i ship and forward confirmation/tracking info.
If its a box or something, try Parcel2Go.com. They do couriering but give you the best option and price depending on weight/size etc.
;D

Hey Jay,do you do any anodizing at home? or is it all done in work :daumenhoch:
-
It's all at work. There's no way you could do the job right at home.
-
Nice work :daumenhoch:
-
Indeed.

Thanks Guy's

I sent some Chang Star levers and unbranded calipers to be anodised last week. I suspect that the levers are of fairly poor/average quality alloy, and as such were quite badly pitted. The calipers weren't in the best shape either. Jay's communication has been excellent throughout the whole process, and I have received regular updates on the job as it has progressed. My brakes were finished today, and are on their way to me as we speak. Here are some photos that Jay took for me to approve the work before I paid. I think they've come out amazing. Like I said, the quality of the alloy is probably not up to Dia Compe standards, and the brakes were in a poor state.
Thanks Jay!
Excellent communication from start to finish :daumenhoch:
Very fast turnaround time too :daumenhoch:
Take a look "wantit"

Hi
Got a few questions if I can
I used an anodiser who could protect the steel parts of brakes and stems etc , is this some thing you can do
Can you do specific finishes , I mean Matt ,brushed etc as a lot of the things I want done had specific finishes , not just highly polished
Thanks

Thanks Jay!

Hiya,
I can mask steel, yes. But not all of the time. Sometimes we get things in that are simply impossible to mask without it having an impact on the outcome.
And yes, there are a few different finishes i can do. Feel free to email me. It's easier than using this on my phone and i can answer any more questions :)

Just had some peregrine 48's rims stripped, polished and anodised by Jay, along with a peregrine seat post clamp. The satin silver of the rims is faultless as is the shine on the seat clamp. Great communication from Jay throughout the process, letting me know when they arrived, how long it would take, photos to make sure I was happy with them and then shipping 'em back. And for a good price too.
All good, check em out.............

Hello you sexy bunch...
I have a new thread that is going to be made a sticky instead of this one. If any of you have had work done by me, i would massively appreciate you posting it in that thread instead of this one as it is more updated with BMX related stuffs and not mainly bikes that need big engines to make them go vroooooom.
Thank you!!!
