Hi All,
Just thought i would introduce myself. Currently got the old school bmx bug. And going to re-furb my childhood bmx. Got a white mid 80's GHP pro2 with all the original parts still attached. Kashimax aero seat, mx brakes and stubby levers. Renthal bars and SR stem. Cant remember the name of the rims though. Want to make it like i would have if I had the money back then.
My main concern is getting replacement decals and getting it painted.
Not sure of the original shade of white and where to get replacement decals. I hear that del-cal is the man for that?
Ill get a picture up as soon as i can. Bear in mind its pretty rough though as it hasnt seen the light of day for a long time.
If you nice people can advise on names of period parts applicable for my build that would be great. Struggling to remember the names of all the parts back then.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome mate.
I'm sure the Pro II is brilliant white, my Pro I is. As for decals, yes Del is your man and he has the set you're after.
Lets see some pics :daumenhoch:

Sounds great. I wish I could get my old bikes back....Sorry I know nothing about GHP bikes, they were race bikes right ??

Thanks for all the replies. Yes it was my race bike. My brother and I raced in the south east for a number of years. I wasn't very good to be honest but enjoyed the racing and jumping parts. Never tried the qtr pipes. And there wasn't a proper bike park to go to near me then. The bike is at my parents house and I hope to get it back to mine today. Once I have the decals I will strip it and send it away for blast, weld and paint. Looking forward to it.
Would really like to get a couple of retro bikes. Always dreamt of having a quadangle but might just get a 26 or 29 so I can actually ride it properly. Loved the redlines and VDC back in the day too. Wasn't many hutch around back then. And always considered the haro to be a trick bike and I was into racing so wasn't my bag. But they do look great.
I'll get some photos up a soon as I get it back.
Thanks all.

Hi Russell :welcome onboard, nice looking GHP. Where and when did you race in the south east?

Thanks. Not bad for a survivor. That exactly how I rode it back in the day. My brother and I rode in 84-86 I think. Mainly at Worcester park ,epsom, and Bromley from what I remember.
